Fun Night of Pep Band....Fruit....Brass Choir...

Well it was a fun basketball game, at least for me.

So thanks to all of you for giving me an enjoyable night. You were funny, and my ears were ringing long enough to not hear some of the interesting things you played (thanks trumpets...:-O)

Just a reminder to pick up your fruit tomorrow morning.  10-12....  We'll be after you if you don't.

Also, the Brass Choir low-down, in case you forgot:

  • Sunday- 4:30- Uhrichsville Presbyterian
  • Rehearsal for one hour- 4:30-5:30
  • Pizza afterward.  Not from Papa Johns.... you're welcome trombones.
  • Change for the concert: dress is white and black.  Look classy it's a classy night.
  • We'll have programs, and I'll have a rundown sheet for you with info about the hymns, and how the concert will work.
  • Concert starts at 7:00, done by about 8:00
  • uh... I don't remember if we're doing anything afterward...it'll be a surprise.
  • Load up the mothership. Fun, fun.
  • Go home. Fun, fun
  • Four more days.  REALLLLLLY FUN FUN!

Ahh, it's a big push, but you can do it.  Remember bring your brains, and your most amazingly positive and Christmas-y attitude, and you'll all be proud of the result!

Thanks, yall.... come get your stinkin fruit!

You all make me jealous...

I really feel old sometimes... My xanga and myspace sites are so boring and uncool looking. Yes all the obvious jokes apply.  Sometimes, it's fun just to see what you've all done to your sites.  Anyway, props for either being really talented, or really good at finding other people's sites to copy.

Oh, and about the playing test/seats/whole new world thing... trust me.  I have no hidden agenda, just making you all fantastic.  It may seem over the top right now, but set aside what you know from the past and allow me to push you all.  You deserve nothing but the best, I truly believe that, and this is how I give you the best.  As simple as that.

Ok bed time...

Well, peanut butter isn't sooo bad

I did have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with my wife last night.  That was yummy.

I also think that peanut butter and cheddar cheese sandwiches are yummy, as are peanut butter and lettuce sandwiches.  Yes really.

If you haven't had one, you should try either one.  The PB and Cheese is my preference of the group, but be sure to have a BIG glass of milk, it's a touch sticky.

On another note, A#.

Don't forget to bring me your banquet forms, we really have to have numbers for Pangrazio's.  Just do it, please.

Ok, night all.

How excited am I!!!

My true band dork-i-ness is coming out right now... today's rehearsal has me all excited for the potential we have this year!

I know that many of you may think I'm crazy for twenty+ minutes of warm-ups and only looking at one little piece of music per day, but I'm really pleased with how much our sound is growing already.  I have set aside these first several weeks to stress our overall sound above our playing of band literature.  It will pay off for us.

So yeah, it was fun today.  I have high hopes for you all for concert band.  Band dorks rule.

On another note, make your plans now to go see Happy Feet when it comes out on the 17th, because that will be the first preview for the next Harry Potter movie, making it more than worth the while to see the movie.

Oh yeah, and I officially have sworn off peanut butter for a while... just doesn't seem right to me.

Have a great night guys...

Strange sightings in Phila...

Tonight was fascinating....

Susan and I had our first trick-or-treat night in New Phila.  We had really cute little kids coming by in all sorts of super-hero and Disney outfits... strange adults with no children.  Kids on bikes... and then.

It was so weird.

There was this whole group of ghosts walking up and down our street, and they never stopped.  They also didn't stop at the neighbors house either.  At first I didn't notice them, they were ghosts after all... but then I realized there was a faint, familiar glow to them... like something around their necks...

I maybe still wouldn't have noticed if they hadn't traveled around my block two or three times... then afterSusan and I called it a night, a strange ghostly shape appeared on our porch, a sort of gift from the beyond.

Could it be that there was more to those mysterious ghostly shapes? Certainly, I'm not sleeping soundly now... the netherworld is a creepy place.

Good one

H
